Reports on unjust handling of petitions by administrative agencies, complaints, and particularly behaviors unjustly refusing
receipt and handling of petitions on the grounds that they may be later pinpointed by audit and inspection of the BAI.
Reports on corruption and fraud
Reports on corruption and fraud of public officials, including bribery, idleness, embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds.
Recommending exemplary public officials
Recommending public officials who save government budget by carrying out their duties creatively;
public officials who faithfully conduct their duties in difficult working environments; and public officials who have a good reputation by helping the needy.
However , citizens are advised to submit petitions regarding the filling of various registrations and applications for approvals/permits to the authorities concerned. Petitions deemed as extraordinary ones, such as using aliases/no names of inaccurate addresses, are not handled as petitions.

Petition processing procedure
Reported petitions are classified and investigated according to their content as follows:
Important matters such as national projects are directly investigated and
handled by the BAI and the results are then notified.
The BAI permits supervisory agencies or respective inspection bodies of the agencies concerned to conduct investigations and allows them to notify the results to the petitioned parties and the BAI. The BAI confirms the results of the petition handling.
Simple or minor matters, or matters deemed more reasonably handled by agencies concerned
are transferred and handled by the agencies concerned and replies are immediately given to the
BAI. Some petitions which are under investigation or under court trials are closed without investigation.
